Elizabeth is a project manager in the Communications department and has been at Metro since 2006. Her participation in the local began in 2011, serving on the Member Action Team (MAT) for contract bargaining, became a steward in 2014 and began serving on the Executive Board that same year. She serves as on the Oregon AFSCME Executive Committee as Special Sector VP.
Away from work she enjoys trail riding adventures with her horse Kaelyn and spending time with her husband Phillip and daughter Ceara.
Angela has been a dedicated member of AFSCME for several years filling several key positions- most notably Treasurer for several terms. She works in Finance and Regulatory Services on the 2nd floor of Metro Regional Center.
John Brandsberg has been with Metro since 2006 and is a Hazardous Waste Technician at the Metro South transfer station. John has bee active in the union for over 11 years serving as the 3580 Executive Board Member for scalehouse and hazardous waste sites and a steward for the local. He also serves on the AFSCME Council 75 Executive Board as the acting chair of the Council 75 Environmental Caucus (AFSCMEgreen) for the last three years. John also serves on the Executive Council for Oregon AFSCME.
Bonnie has been working with volunteers at Metro parks and natural areas for since 2007. She has more than 15 years of experience in volunteer management working with nonprofits and government agencies and holds a certification in volunteer administration. As an informal environmental educator, she has helped provide hands-on service learning for students of all ages.
Her environmental education has focused on habitat enrichment, especially for wildlife and pollinators. Bonnie has been a wildlife rehabilitator for 23 years working for the Audubon Society Wildlife Care Center in Portland and with facilities that breed for release endangered species in their endemic habitats. Her wildlife rehabilitation work includes primates in Nigeria; birds, wild cats, sloths, and primates in Costa Rica; and locally the endangered pygmy rabbit. In her spare time she enjoys wildlife watching, hiking, and dancing.
Bonnie also serves on the Executive Council for Oregon AFSCME.
Katie Hentges is a project coordinator in the Marketing division at the Oregon Zoo.
